Ingredients

 
1/4 cup peach or apricot preserves
 
1/4 teaspoon browning sauce
 
2 1/2 to 3 pound chicken, cut into serving pieces
 
1 package (10 oz.) frozen mixed fruit, defrost
 
1 tablespoon cornstarch
 
1/2 teaspoon lemon juice, optional
 
Dash ginger or cinnamon

Directions

Combine preserves and browning sauce in small glass bowl.
Cook at HIGH 1/2 to 1 minute.
Arrange chicken in 12x8-inch dish with meatier portions toward edge of dish.
Brush with 1/2 preserves.
Cook, covered with wax paper, at HIGH 12 to 13 minutes.
Brush with remaining preserves halfway through cooking.
Remove chicken to serving platter.
Let stand, covered, 5 minutes.
Drain liquid, reserving 1/2 cup.
In baking dish, combine reserved liquid and remaining ingredients.
Cook at HIGH 3 to 4 minutes, or until sauce is slightly thickened; stir twice.
