Ingredients

 6 chicken breast halves, skinned and boned
 1 tablespoon corn oil margarine
 Cardamom1/4 Teaspoon
 Salt1/4 Teaspoon
 Pepper1 Dash
 2 1/2 to 3 cups firm baking apples, unpeeled and thinly sliced
 Cider1/3 Cup (16 tbs)
 Granulated Sugar1/4 Cup (16 tbs)
 Lemon juice1 Tablespoon
 1 1/2 teaspoons grated lemon rind
 Worcestershire sauce1 Teaspoon
 1 teaspoon prepared cream-style horseradish (optional)

Directions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
In a shallow baking pan arrange chicken.
Dot with margarine.
Sprinkle with cardamom, salt and pepper.
Bake for 1 hour or until tender.
In a medium saucepan combine apples, cider, sugar, lemon juice and rind, Worcestershire sauce and horseradish.
Simmer over medium-low heat until apples are tender.
Pour over chicken.
Bake just until heated through.
