Fruit Cake Cookies Recipe

Ingredients
Sifted all-purpose flour - 2 1/2 cups
Baking soda - 1 teaspoon
Salt - 1 teaspoon
Cinnamon -1 teaspoon
Butter or maragrine - 1 cup, softened
Sugar - 1 1/2 cups
Eggs - 2
Pitted dates - 4 pkg (8 oz) 4 pkg, coarsely chopped
Candied pineapple - 2 jars (4 oz), finely cubed
Candied cherries - 1 cup, quartered
Almonds - 1 can (3 1/2 oz), sliced and coarsely chopped
Walnuts - 1 cup, coarsely chopped
Directions
GETTING READY
1) Preheat oven to 400F.
MAKING
2) Sift flour with baking soda, salt, and cinnamon; set aside.
3) In large bowl, with wooden spoon, or portable electric mixer at medium speed, beat butter, sugar, and eggs until light and fluffy.
4) Stir in flour mixture until well combined.
5) Add fruits and nuts, mixing well.
6) Drop by level tablespoonfuls, 2 inches apart, onto ungreased cookie sheets.
7) Bake 8 to 10 minutes, or until golden-brown.
8) Let stand 1 minute.
9) Remove to wire rack to cool.
