Ingredients

 4 to 6 cups canned fruit or pie filling
 Cornstarch1 Teaspoon
 White sugar 2/3 Cup (16 tbs)
 Flour1 Cup (16 tbs)
 Baking powder1 Teaspoon
 Salt1/4 Teaspoon
 1 unbeaten egg
 Scant 1/3 cup melted butter

Directions

Grease a 6x10" Pyrexdish.
Drain the fruit and sprinkle with 1 teaspoon cornstarch.
Blend sugar, flour, baking powder, salt and egg - mix well.
Spread on fruit and top with melted butter.
Bake at 350° for 40 minutes.
