Fruit Topping Recipe
Ingredients
| 4 to 6 cups canned fruit or pie filling | ||
| Cornstarch | 1 Teaspoon | |
| White sugar | 2/3 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Flour | 1 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Baking powder | 1 Teaspoon | |
| Salt | 1/4 Teaspoon | |
| 1 unbeaten egg | ||
| Scant 1/3 cup melted butter | ||
Directions
Grease a 6x10" Pyrexdish.
Drain the fruit and sprinkle with 1 teaspoon cornstarch.
Blend sugar, flour, baking powder, salt and egg - mix well.
Spread on fruit and top with melted butter.
Bake at 350° for 40 minutes.
