Fruit Melba Recipe
Fruit Melba is a delicious dessert recipe which I always love to have on a weekend party. I bet, once you have this, you will always crave for some more.
Ingredients
1 (10-oz.) pkg. frozen raspberries
2 Tb. fresh lime juice
1/4 cup sweet sherry
4 cups assorted canned fruits drained
1 pt. vanilla ice cream
Directions
Place 1 (10-oz.) pkg. frozen raspberries and 2 tablespoons fresh lime juice in blender container and whir 30 seconds.
Strain and stir in 1/4 cup sweet sherry.
Set aside.
To serve, divide 4 cups assorted canned fruits, drained, between 6 serving dishes.
Top each with a scoop of vanilla ice cream (from 1 pt.).
Spoon fruit sauce over top and serve.
Note:
Lemon juice may be substituted for the lime juice called for above, and frozen, defrosted fruits, drained, may be used instead of the canned fruits.
