Directions

MAKING
1)In a bowl, sift together flour, baking powder, salt and sugar.
2)In another bowl, mix egg yolks, milk and corn oil.
3)Add to dry ingredients and mix until well blended.
4)Add fruit and add the stiffly beaten egg whites.
5)In a skillet, add about 1 inch and drop fritters.
6)Fry for 3 to 4 minutes turning to brown evenly. Drain.
SERVING
7)Serve warm with corn syrup flavor of your choice.

TIPS
If desired, fritters may be pan fried. Heat about 1/2 cup corn oil in a skillet. Fry fritters to a golden brown on one side. Turn to brown on other side.
