Ingredients
1/2 cup cake flour
3 tablespoons cocoa
1 1/2 teaspoons cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon mixed spice
1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup honey
1/4lb (125 g) almonds
1/4 lb (125 g) mixed dried fruit
1/2 cup preserved citron
Directions
Sift flour with the cocoa and spices.
Mix sugar and honey in a saucepan and boil for three minutes, stirring constantly.
Remove from heat.
Quickly stir in flour mixture and remaining ingredients.
Spread into a lined 9 inch (23 cm) square pan.
Bake in a 300°F (150°C) oven for about 30 minutes.
