Fruit And Vegetable Rice Pilaf Recipe




 Raisins1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)
 Water1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
 Chicken broth2 Cup (32 tbs)
 Rice1 Cup (16 tbs)
 Butter/Margarine1 Tablespoon
 Salt1⁄2 Teaspoon
 Poultry seasoning1⁄2 Teaspoon
 Pepper1⁄8 Teaspoon
 Cooking apple1
 Celery stalks1
 Slivered almonds1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)
 Thin apple wedges4


Combine raisins and water in a small saucepan; cover and cook over medium heat 5 minutes or until raisins are soft.
Drain, and set aside.
Combine next 6 ingredients in a medium saucepan.
Cover and bring to a boil; reduce heat and simmer 15 minutes.
Remove from heat, and stir in carrot, apple, celery, almonds, and raisins.
Cover pan, and let stand 5 minutes.
Garnish with thin apple wedges, if desired.
