Fruit Salad Dressing Recipe
I have a recipe which is very near and dear to my heart and that is of Fruit Salad Dressing. It is served as a delicious Side Dish. You will fall head over heels in love with this easy and delectable Fruit Salad Dressing recipe as soon as you try it!
Ingredients
Juice of 1 lemon
1 egg yolk
1/2 c. pineapple syrup
1/4 c. sugar
1 tsp. cornstarch
1 egg white
Pinch of salt
Directions
1. Into the top of the double boiler put cornstarch and salt. Slowly stir in the fruit juices.
2. Cook over hot water, stirring till it thickens. Cook 5 minutes longer.
3. Mix egg yolk and sugar, and stir into hot mixture. Cook 3 minutes longer.
4. Beat egg white stiff and fold into hot mixture. Cool by replacing the hot water in the lower part of the double boiler with cold water.
5. Chill in refrigerator.
