Fruit Refresher Recipe

This fruit refresher is a fruity salad made with mixed fruits. Dressed with sherry and honey to taste, the fruit refresher is a great way to cool off on a summer day after a satisfying meal.

Ingredients

 
1/2 cup brown sugar
 
1/4 cup honey
 
1/4 cup dry sherry
 
2 tablespoons lemon juice
 
1 teaspoon grated lemon peel
 
2 medium unpared apples, sliced
 
2 medium nectarines, peeled and sliced
 
2 medium pears, pared and quartered
 
2 medium bananas, peeled and sliced
 
1 cup dark sweet cherries, halved and pitted

Directions

In saucepan, combine first 5 ingredients; cook over low heat 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Remove from heat and cool.
Combine fruits.
Pour dressing over; toss lightly.
Cover; chill thoroughly, stirring occasionally.
Drain, reserving dressing.
