Fruit Almond Stuffing For Suckling Pig Recipe
Ingredients
1 pound almonds
1 1/2 pounds prunes
10 large apples
1/4 cup butter
Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
Directions
1. Drop the almonds in boiling water and let stand until the skins slip easily. Drain, remove the skins and shred the almonds lengthwise.
2. Cook the prunes in water to cover until just tender. Drain and pit.
3. Peel, core and slice the apples. Cook in the butter over moderately high heat until half tender. Mix the apples, almonds, prunes, salt and pepper.
