Fructose Chocolate Cake Recipe
Ingredients
1/3 cup granulated fructose
1 cup all-purpose flour
1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
3/4 tsp baking soda
1/4 tsp cream of tartar
1/4 cup solid shortening, softened
3/4 cup skint milk
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 egg
Directions
Place fructose in a small blender jar.
Blend on high for 20 seconds. (Fructose will powder.) Combine flour, fructose, cocoa, baking soda, and cream of tartar in a medium-sized bowl.
Stir to mix.
Add shortening, milk, and vanilla.
Beat on low until blended.
Then beat on high for 1 1/2 minutes.
Add egg and continue beating on high for 2 more minutes.
Transfer batter to a greased and floured 8 or 9 in. (20 or 23 cm) round baking pan.
Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 25 to 30 minutes or until pick inserted in middle comes out clean.
Allow cake to cool in pan on cooling rack for 10 minutes.
Remove from pan.
Cool thoroughly on rack.
