Ingredients

 
Souffle:
 
1 Pt. Vanilla Ice Cream
 
4 Macaroons, crumbled
 
4 Tsp. Orange Juice or Grand Marnier
 
1/2 Cup Heavy Cream
 
1 to 2 Tbs. Chopped Toasted Almonds
 
1 to 2 Tsp. Confectioner's Sugar
 
Strawberry Sauce:
 
1 Pt. Fresh Strawberries, washed, hulled and cut in half or 1 10 Oz. Pkg. Frozen Sliced Strawberries, thawed
 
Sugar to taste
 
4 Tsp. Orange Juice or Grand Marnier

Directions

Souffle:
Soften ice cream slightly.
Stir in the crumbled macaroons and orange juice or grand marnier.
Whip the cream until thick and shiny.
Fold into ice cream mixture.
Spoon into a 4 cup serving dish or mold.
Sprinkle surface lightly with almonds and confectioner's sugar.
Cover with saran.
Freeze until firm, about 4 to 5 hours or overnight.
Bring the frozen souffle to the table on a serving dish.
To unmold, wrap the serving dish for 4 or 5 seconds in a towel wrung out of very hot water.
Loosen the edge with a spatula and turn out onto a cold platter.
Strawberry Sauce: Mix this sauce just before serving.
Put berries in a saucepan with sugar added to taste (about 1/4 cup sugar for fresh berries, less for frozen berries) & simmer until soft but not mushy.
Remove from heat and stir in juice or grand marnier.
