Frozen Lime Padding Recipe

This recipe of Frozen Lime Padding was picked up by me from a gourmet magazine, I twisted it a little bit to meet my taste here I am, sharing my version with you. This is the most comforting Dessert recipe I have come across. In my estimation, if one is a chef, one needs to have a personal recipe of Frozen Lime Padding, just like I do.

Ingredients

 
1 can (1 lb.) fruit cocktail, including liquid
 
1 pkg. lime or lemon pudding and pie filling
 
3/4 c sugar
 
1 egg
 
1 envelope whipped topping mix, prepared as directed
 
1/2 c chopped pecans

Directions

Drain fruit, reserving liquid.
Add enough water to liquid to make 2 1/4 cups.
Combine pudding, sugar and 1/4 cup liquid in a saucepan.
Add egg and blend well.
Stir in remaining liquid.
Cook, stirring constantly, over medium heat until mixture comes to a boil.
Chill for 1 hour.
Blend prepared topping into pudding mixture.
Add fruit and nuts.
Pour into an 8 x 4-inch loaf pan and freeze.
Place in refrigerator for 30 minutes before serving.
