Frozen Christmas Custard Recipe

Ingredients
| Cherries | 2 Tablespoon, candied | |
| Chopped ginger | 2 Tablespoon, candied | |
| Candied pineapple | 2 Tablespoon, chopped | |
| Raisins | 2 Tablespoon | |
| Currants | 1 Tablespoon | |
| 2 tablespoons chopped mixed candied peel | ||
| 2/3 cup sauterne | ||
| 2 recipes Basic Confectioners' Custard | ||
| 2 cups whipping cream, stiffly beaten | ||
Directions
Combine cherries, ginger, pineapple, raisins, currants, and mixed peel in small bowl.
Pour sauterne over mixture.
Let stand 1 hour; drain.
Add fruit mixture to custard.
Fold in whipped cream until well blended.
Place in lightly oiled 8-cup souffle dish; freeze until hard.
To unmold, let custard stand at room temperature 10 minutes.
Dip bowl in hot water; turn custard out onto platter.
Pour boiling water into bowl; dip sharp knife into water.
Cut custard into wedges; place on serving platter. (Dip knife into hot water before cutting each slice.)
Frozen custard can be made into balls by using ice-cream scoop that has been dipped into boiling water.
