Frozen Apple Ice Milk Pie Recipe
Ingredients
| 1 package chocolate wafers | ||
| Granny smith apples | 2 Large, shredded | |
| 2 tablespoons green creme de menthe or 1/4 teaspoon peppermint extract and green food coloring | ||
| 3 pints vanilla ice milk, softened slightly | ||
| 1 Granny Smith apple, sliced (for garnish) | ||
| Chocolate wafer crumbs | ||
| Mint leaves | 4 | |
Directions
Line bottom and sides of a 9 inch pie plate with chocolate wafers, cutting cookies where necessary to fill in spaces.
Toss apples with creme de menthe in a large bowl; blend in softened ice milk, mixing well.
Spoon into prepared pie shell; freeze until firm (about 2 hours).
Garnish with apple slices, chocolate wafer crumbs or mint leaves.
