Vanilla wafers - 1 box
Butter or margarine - 1/2 c.
Powdered sugar - 1 c.
Eggs - 2, beaten
Cream - 2 c., whipped
Almond extract - 1 tsp.
Directions
MAKING
1) Crush the wafers and place half in a greased 8-inch square pan.
2) In a double boiler, mix the butter and sugar and add the eggs.
3) Cook, stirring constantly, till thickened.
4) Cool slightly.
5) Pour half the whipped cream over the crumb layer.
6) Add the almond extract to the egg mix and pour over a cream layer.
7) Cover with the remaining cream.
8) Sprinkle the remaining crumbs over the top and freeze.
SERVING
9) Cut into squares and serve.
