Frozen Peas Recipe
Ingredients
1/2 tablespoon butter
1 package frozen peas
Salt and pepper
Directions
Put the butter in a saucepan with the frozen peas.
Put a tight lid on top and put the saucepan on a gentle heat.
Shake the saucepan from time to time so that the peas will heat through; Do not use water, do not add sugar, and do not cook the peas.
Just warm them right through by agitating in the saucepan over the heat.
When they are all nicely heated, remove the lid to let any unwanted moisture escape.
Season and serve with a little butter melting on top.
If you cook frozen peas like this, they do retain their taste and bite, and the color is excellent.
