Frosty Potage Saint Germain Recipe
Ingredients
| Lettuce - 1/2 head, sliced | ||
| Frozen peas package | 1 | |
| Water | 1 1/2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Onion | 1/4 Small | |
| Butter - 2 tablespoons or margarine - 2 tablespoons | ||
| Chervil | 1 1/2 Teaspoon | |
| Salt | 1/2 Teaspoon | |
| Pepper | 1/8 Teaspoon | |
| Beef broth | 1 Can (10oz), condensed | |
| Half and Half | 1 Cup (16 tbs), chilled | |
Directions
MAKING
1. In a saucepan, put together lettuce, frozen peas, water, onion, butter or margarine, chervil, salt and pepper; cook for about 8 minutes until peas are tender.
FINALISING
2. Into a blender jar with grating blade, pour the peas mixture and process for 20 seconds until smooth.
3. Into a bowl, pour the purred mixture and stir in rest of the ingredients.
4. Refrigerate soup until chill.
SERVING
5. Serve Frosty Potage Saint Germain in soup bowls and garnish with a dollop of sour cream
6. Sprinkle chopped chives on top.
