Frosted Liverwurst Pate Recipe
Ingredients
| Liverwurst | 1 pound | |
| Garlic | 1 Clove (5gm), crushed | |
| Basil | 1/2 Teaspoon | |
| Onion | 1/4 Cup (16 tbs), minced | |
| Cream cheese | 1 , softened | |
| 1/8 teaspoon red pepper sauce | ||
| 1 teaspoon mayonnaise or salad dressing | ||
| Red or black caviar or anchovy paste | ||
| Parsley | ||
Directions
Mash liverwurst with fork; thoroughly mix in 1 clove garlic, the basil and onion.
Mound on plate and form into igloo shape.
Cover and chill.
Blend cream cheese, 1 clove garlic, the red pepper sauce and mayonnaise; spread over liverwurst.
Refrigerate at least 8 hours.
Just before serving, garnish top with circle of caviar or spread top with anchovy paste.
Garnish with parsley.
