Frikadeller Meatballs Recipe
Ingredients
8 ounces lean ground beef
8 ounces lean ground pork
2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
1 beaten egg
1/3 cup milk
1/8 teaspoon ground allspice
1/8 teaspoon ground nutmeg
1 teaspoon beef bouillon granules
1 tablespoon all-purpose flour
1/2 cup dairy sour cream
Directions
Mix meats and 2 tablespoons flour.
In separate bowl, combine egg, milk, 1/4 teaspoon salt, and spices; add meat and mix well.
Drop by rounded tablespoon into 13 x 9x 2-inch baking dish (24 patties).
Flatten with spoon.
Cook, covered, at MEDIUM HIGH (7) for 8 to 10 minutes, turning patties over and rearranging once.
Strain pan juices into 2-cup glass measure; skim off excess fat.
Add water to pan drippings to make 3/4 cup.
Add bouillon.
Cook at HIGH for 2 to 2 1/2 minutes or till boiling.
Stir 1 tablespoon flour into sour cream.
Gradually stir 1/2 cup of hot mixture into sour cream; return to glass measure.
Cook at MEDIUM (5) for 2 minutes or till heated through, stirring twice.
