Ingredients

 
1 1/2 pounds sirloin steakcut 1/4 -inch thick
 
1/2 cup soy sauce
 
2 tablespoons sugar
 
3 tablespoons ground sesame seeds
 
1 minced garlic clove
 
1/4 cup chopped scallions
 
3 tablespoons oil

Directions

Cut the steak in 6 pieces.
Mix together the soy sauce, sugar, sesame seeds, garlic, and scallions; marinate the steak in the mixture for 2 hours.
Drain.
Cook the marinade over low heat while preparing the steak.
Heat the oil in a skillet; saute the steak in it over high heat 1 minute on each side, or to desired degree of rareness.
Serve with the sauce, which may be thickened with 2 teaspoons of cornstarch if you like.
