Fried Prawn Balls Recipe

Ingredients

 1/2 kg. prawns, shelled, de-veined and chopped
 Onions spring3
 Water chestnuts8 , peeled, finely chopped
 Salt2 Teaspoon
 Dry sherry2 Teaspoon
 Ginger1 Teaspoon, finely grated
 1 egg white, beaten until stiff
 2 tsps. cornflour oil for frying
 1 cup Chinese red sauce

Directions

Chop spring onions very finely.
Mix prawns, water chestnuts, spring onions, salt, sherry and ginger in a bowl.
Add egg white to the mixture with cornflour.
Make walnut size balls.
Heat oil and fry a few balls at a time until golden brown.
Drain on kitchen paper and serve hot with sauce.
VEGETARIAN VERSION:
Use 100 gms.soya granules (soaked and ground) instead of prawns and follow the recipe as above and serve with sauce.
