Fried Oysters Recipe
Ingredients
1 pint oysters
Salt
Pepper
Flour for dredging
1 slightly beaten egg
1/2 cup cracker or bread crumbs
Directions
Pick over oysters, removing shell fragments; dry between towels.
Sprinkle with salt, pepper, and flour.
Dip jn egg diluted with a little cold water.
Roll in crumbs.
Fry in deep, hot (375 °F) fat 4 to 6 minutes.
Drain on unglazed paper
