Large crisp dill pickles, sliced 1/2 inch thick
 
1 teaspoon sugar
 
2 teaspoons seasoned salt
 
1 teaspoon baking powder
 
1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
 
1/2 cup milk
 
2 eggs Beer
 
1 cup flour
 
Vegetable oil for deep-frying

Directions

Dry the dill pickle slices with paper towels.
Combine the sugar, seasoned salt, baking powder, cayenne pepper, milk, eggs and enough beer to make a batter of the desired consistency; mix well.
Dredge the pickle slices in flour and dip into the beer batter until thickly coated.
Deep-fry, turning after 30 seconds to seal the breading, then continue to cook until golden brown.
Drain on paper towels.
Serve with ranch salad dressing for dipping.
