Fried Catfish Recipe
Ingredients
| Catfish | 1 pound | |
| Salt | To Taste | |
| Pepper | 1 To taste | |
| Crumbs-for dredging | ||
| Egg | 1 | |
| All-purpose flour-1 tablespoon | ||
| Milk cream | 1 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Green peppers | 2 To taste | |
| Sour pickles-6, chopped | ||
Directions
GETTING READY
1)Cut fish into small serving pieces.
MAKING
2)Season fish with salt and pepper and dip it in crumbs then, brush with egg.
3)Dip in crumbs again.
4)In a pan, heat shortening and deep fry the fish until browned. Drain.
5)Take a saucepan and add 1 ½ tablespoons hot shortening in it.
6)Add flour and milk slowly. Cook until smooth and thickened. Stir continuously.
7)Let it cool and add green pepper and pickles.
SERVING
8)Serve the fish in a dish and pour the sauce over.
