Ingredients
1 lb rump steak
2 cloves garlic
2 teaspoons cornstarch
1 tablespoon soy sauce
1 tablespoon sherry
Pinch of salt
Pinch of black pepper
1 tablespoon oil
1 tablespoon oyster sauce
1/2 cup water
Directions
Cut the meat into paper thin slices; crush the garlic.
Mix the cornflour (cornstarch) to a smooth paste with the soy sauce, add the sherry, salt and pepper.
Mix with the beef until all the meat is evenly coated.
Heat the oil with the garlic, then remove garlic from the oil and fry the beef over fierce heat for 2-3 minutes, stirring all the time.
Add the oyster sauce, mix well and add the water.
Cook for 1 minute.
