Most of us think plantains are bananas and do not even know that they can be cooked like a vegetable and served as a side. Here is a fantastic way to use plantains, (which are not the same as bananas but from the same family) by simply sautéing them in a pan until they are crispy on the outside and caramelized. They really do make for great meat-less meal side to a vegetarian meal.
