Fried Potato Slices In A Light Gram Flour Batter Recipe
Ingredients
| Gram flour | 125 Gram | |
| 1 teaspoon white cumin seeds | ||
| Red chillies | 1 Teaspoon, crushed | |
| Salt | 1 Teaspoon | |
| Soda bicarbonate | 1/2 Teaspoon | |
| 1 1/2 teaspoons pomegranate seed powder | ||
| Green chilli | 1 , chopped | |
| Red chilli | 1 , chopped | |
| Coriander | 1 Tablespoon, chopped | |
| Water | 450 Milliliter | |
| Oil | 2 Cup (16 tbs) (For frying) | |
| 2 potatoes, peeled and cut into 5 mm (1/4 inch) slices | ||
Directions
1. Sift the gram flour into a large bowl. Add the cumin seeds, crushed red chillies, salt, bicarbonate of soda, pomegranate seed powder, fresh green and red chillies and fresh coriander and stir to mix. Add sufficient water to form a thin batter which will thinly coat the potatoes.
2. Heat the oil in a deep frying pan. Dip the potato slices one at a time into the batter and then fry in the hot oil. Lift out with a slotted spoon and allow to drain on kitchen paper before serving.
