Fried Polenta With Gorgonzola Cheese Recipe
Ingredients
| Basic Polenta | ||
| 6 oz. Gorgonzola cheese, room temperature | ||
| 3 tablespoons butter, room temperature | ||
| Whipping cream | 1 Tablespoon | |
| Frying Oil | 2 Cup (16 tbs) (For frying) | |
Directions
Prepare Basic Polenta and let cool completely.
In a small bowl, mix Gorgonzola cheese, butter and cream until blended.
Set aside.
Cut cooled polenta into slices 2 inches wide and 6 inches long.
Pour oil about 1 inch deep in a large skillet.
Heat oil until a 1-inch cube of bread turns golden almost immediately.
Fry polenta slices over medium heat about 1 minute on each side or until golden.
Drain on paper towels.
Spread cheese mixture over hot polenta slices.
Place on a warm platter.
