4 tablespoons butter
 
6-8 peaches, halved, stoned, and peeled
 
1 cup light brown sugar
 
1/2 cup heavy cream
 
Freshly grated nutmeg to taste

Directions

Melt the butter in a skillet.
Add the peaches.
Sprinkle with the sugar.
Let simmer, uncovered, about 20-30 minutes, turning frequently, When just ready to serve, add the cream.
