Fried Mushrooms Recipe
These fried button mushrooms make a n excellnt dish that can be served as a side in meals or even as snacks. Coated with seasoned egg and crumbs, these mushrooms are deep fried and can be served with a dipping sauce.
Ingredients
1 pound fresh small button mushrooms
Cracker crumbs
Salt
1 beaten egg
Directions
Wash and dry fresh, firm mushrooms.
Dip in beaten egg'and cracker crumbs.
Preheat fat to 375° on deep fat thermometer or until a 1 inch cube of bread browns in 60 seconds.
Fry mushrooms until brown, then drain on paper towels.
Salt to taste.
