Fried Mixed Vegetables Recipe
Fried Mixed Vegetables! You just cannot overlook this yummy vegetarian dish. The last time I served it at home, all of it vanished in seconds!! My whole family is addicted to the wonderfully delicious Fried Mixed Vegetables. Try them !
Ingredients
3 tablespoons vegetable oil
1 garlic clove, crushed 1 inch piece fresh root ginger, peeled and sliced
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon white pepper
2 carrots, scraped and thinly sliced
1 small green pepper, white pith removed, and shredded
1 very small cauliflower, trimmed washed and broken into flowerets
2 oz. bean sprouts, washed and shaken dry
5 fl. oz. chicken stock
2 teaspoons soy sauce
1 teaspoon soft brown sugar
Directions
In a large frying pan, heat the oil over moderate heat.
When it is hot, add the garlic, ginger, salt and pepper.
Fry, stirring constantly, for 1 minute.
Add the carrots and fry for a further minute, still stirring.
Add the green pepper and cauliflower and stir fry for 3 minutes.
Add the bean sprouts and fry, stirring, for a further 1 minute.
Stir in the stock, soy sauce and sugar.
Cover the pan and cook for a further 4 minutes.
Remove the pan from the heat.
Turn the vegetables into a warmed serving dish and serve immediately.
