Fried Fruit Turnovers Recipe

Ingredients

 
2 tsp cold butter
 
1 cup sifted all-purpose flour
 
1 eggyolk
 
3 tsp hot skim milk
 
9 tsp pureed baby food fruit

Directions

Cut butter into flour.
Blend egg yolk and milk together; then add to flour mixture.
Knead well to make a smooth dough.
Roll out to 1/8 in. (4 mm) thickness.
Cut into six pastry rounds.
Place 1 1/2 tsp (21 ml) of pureed fruit in center of each round.
Fold over turnover-style and seal or pinch edges securely.
Fry in hot fat at 365°F (180°C) until brown.
