Fried Chicken Recipe
This fried chicken recipe is a simple and easy preparation. Dipped in milk the chicken is coated with paprika and garlic seasoned flour. Fried in a skillet, it is cooked with a rich brown color and can be served with fresh salads.
Ingredients
1/3 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon paprika
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1 can (5.3 ounces) evaporated milk
2 1/2- to 3-pound broiler-fryer chicken, cut up
1/4 cup Oil
Directions
Mix flour, salt, paprika, garlic powder and pepper in large plastic food storage bag.
Set aside.
Pour evaporated milk into bowl.
Dip chicken in evaporated milk.
Add a few chicken pieces to food storage bag.
Shake to coat.
Remove chicken from bag.
Repeat with remaining chicken.
Heat Oil in large skillet.
Add chicken.
Brown over medium-high heat.
Cook over moderate heat about 25 minutes, or until meat near bone is no longer pink and juices run clear, turning pieces over frequently.
Set aside.
