Fridadellers (Danish Meatballs) Recipe
Ingredients
1 Cup Soft Bread Crumbs
1 Egg, well beaten
1 Cup Apple sauce
1/4 Cup Catsup
1 Tsp.Salt
1/4 Tsp.Nutmeg
1/8 Tsp.Pepper
1 1/2 Lbs.Ground Beef
1/4 Cup Minced Onion
1/4 Cup White Wine, or water
Directions
Mix thoroughly the bread crumbs, egg, 1/4 cup applesauce, 1/4 cup catsup, seasonings; blend in meat, onion.
Form into 1 inch balls.
Bake in large, shallow pan 15 min. at 425 degrees.
Drain fat.
Combine remaining apple sauce, catsup and wine.
Spoon over meatballs.
Bake 10 minutes longer.
Form into 1 inch balls.
