Fresh Tomato Pasta Sauce Recipe

Ingredients

 
2 scallions, minced
 
1 clove garlic, minced
 
2 tablespoons butter
 
2 tablespoons olive oil
 
6 large tomatoes, skinned and coarsely chopped (about 4 cups)
 
2 teaspoons oregano
 
1/4 teaspoon freshly ground pepper
 
Salt to taste
 
Fresh parsley for garnish

Directions

Saute scallions and garlic in a mixture of butter .and olive oil in a small skillet until soft, about 3 minutes.
Place in slow cooker along with all remaining ingredients.
Cover and cook on low about 3 hours or until heated through.
Serve at once over hot pasta, Garnish with parsley if you wish.
