Oysters (washed and cleaned) – 1 dozen
 
For the Mignonette sauce:
 
2 tbsp black pepper
 
½ cup finely chopped shallots
 
2/3 cup red wine vinegar
 
A pinch of salt
 
For the cocktail sauce:
 
1 cup ketchup
 
2 cups horseradish
 
1-2 tbsp fresh lemon juice
 
½ tsp salt
 
A dash of worcestershire sauce
 
A dash of black pepper

Directions

For the Mignonette sauce:
Combine all ingredients in a bowl. Mix well and pour over the oysters.
For the cocktail sauce:
Combine all the ingredients in a bowl. Mix well. Pour over the oysters.
