Fresh Fruit Salad Recipe

Ingredients
1 large pineapple
2 dessert apples, cored and sliced
2 pears, peeled, cored and sliced
2 oranges, peeled and sliced
4 oz. jar maraschino cherries, drained
Castor sugar
1 tablespoon Cointreau
Directions
Cut the top from the pineapple.
Scoop out the flesh, leaving a wall about inch thick.
Discard the core and cut the flesh in small pieces.
Put in a bowl with the apple, pear and orange slices.
Add the cherries and sprinkle with sugar to taste.
Add the liqueur, cover and leave in a cool place until the sugar has dissolved.
Stand the pineapple upright and pile the fruit into it.
Any remaining fruit salad may be offered separately.
