Ingredients

| 9-in. pie | ||
| Sugar | ||
| Flour | 2 Tablespoon | |
| Salt | 1 Pinch | |
| Figs | 2 Cup (16 tbs), drained | |
| Lemon juice | 1 Tablespoon | |
| Lemon peel | 1 Tablespoon, slivered | |
| Butter | ||
| Milk | ||
| Salt | 1 Teaspoon | |
Directions
Roll pastry thin; fit half the pastry into pie pan.
Mix 2/3 cup sugar, flour and salt; sprinkle half the flour mixture evenly in pastry-lined pan.
Arrange figs in pan; sprinkle figs with lemon juice, lemon peel and remaining flour mixture.
Dot generously with butter; fit remaining pastry over pie.
Seal edges and brush with milk; cut steam vents.
Bake at 375 degrees for 15 minutes.
Reduce oven temperature to 350 de- grees; bake for about 30 minutes longer.
