Fresh English Peas With Herbs Recipe
Ingredients
2 cups shelled fresh English peas (about 2 pounds unshelled)
12 green onions, cur into 1-inch pieces
1/2 teaspoon sugar
1 1/2 teaspoons dried whole basil, crushed
1 1/2 teaspoons dried whole tarragon, crushed
1 1/2 teaspoons minced fresh parsley
1/8 teaspoon pepper
1 1/2 cups water
Directions
Combine all ingredients in a 2-quart saucepan, bring to a boil.
Cover; reduce heat, and simmer 15 minutes or until peas are tender.
