Fresh Pear Sauce Recipe
Ingredients
| 4 very ripe Anjou pears, peeled, cored and cut into 1-inch chunks | ||
| Vanilla bean | 1 | |
| Water | 1 Tablespoon | |
Directions
In a heavy medium saucepan combine pears, vanilla bean and water; cover.
Cook over medium heat for 7 to 10 minutes or until pears yield juice.
Uncover.
Cook until liquid is reduced to 3 tablespoons, stirring frequently.
Into pears scrape seed from vanilla bean; discard pod.
Into a food processor place the pears and liquid.
Process until pureed.
Serve warm or chilled with souffles or over berries or puddings.
