Fresh Peach Buttermilk Sherbet Recipe
Ingredients
3 fresh California peaches, sliced
1 cup sugar
1 egg
4 1/2 teaspoons lemon juice
3/4 teaspoon grated lemon peel
1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract
Dash salt
2 cups buttermilk
Directions
Place peaches, sugar, egg, lemon juice, lemon peel, vanilla and salt in blender or food processor; process until smooth.
Blend in buttermilk.
Pour peach mixture into ice cream maker; prepare according to manufacturer's directions.
Pack into freezer containers.
Freeze until firm.
Blend in buttermilk.
