Fresh Orange Bavarian Cream Recipe
Ingredients
1/2 cup sugar
1 3-ounce package orange-flavored gelatin
1 tablespoon finely shredded orange peel
1 cup orange juice
2/3 cup water
1 cup whipping cream
Directions
In mixing bowl stir sugar into orange-flavored gelatin.
In saucepan combine orange peel, orange juice, and water.
Bring to boiling; add to gelatin mixture, stirring till gelatin dissolves.
Chill mixture till partially set (consistency of unbeaten egg whites).
Meanwhile, in small mixer bowl beat whipping cream till soft peaks form.
In large mixer bowl beat partially set gelatin mixture till foamy; fold in whipped cream.
Pour orange mixture into eight 1/2-cup molds or one 4-cup mold.
Chill till firm, about 4 hours.
Unmold on serving plates.
