Fresh Fruit Ambrosia Recipe

Ingredients
4 navel oranges
3 ripe pears
6 1/2 inch slices fresh pineapple
3 bananas
1 cup orange juice
1/4 teaspoon almond extract or 3 tablespoons Strega
1 cup grated, fresh coconut
Directions
With a sharp knife, peel oranges, taking off the outside membrane.
Slice crosswise into very thin slices.
Peel and core pears, and cut into slices about 1/4 inch thick.
Peel and core pineapple slices, and cut into pieces about 1 1/2 inches wide.
Peel and slice bananas about 1/4 inch thick.
In a large serving bowl, layer fruit, ending with oranges.
Mix orange juice and flavoring, pour over fruit, and chill for several hours to allow flavors to blend.
When ready to serve, top with a generous layer of coconut.
