Fresh Asparagus And Onion Saute Recipe
Ingredients
| Asparagus | 1 pound | |
| Onion | 1 Small, sliced | |
| Water | 1 Tablespoon | |
| 2 teaspoons reduced-calorie margarine | ||
| Dried thyme | 1/2 Teaspoon | |
| 1/8 teaspoon lemon-pepper seasoning | ||
| Wheat germ | 1 Tablespoon, toasted | |
Directions
Break off and discard the tough portion of the asparagus stems.
Bias slice the asparagus into 1" pieces.
Spray an unheated large skillet with no-stick spray.
Heat the skillet over medium-high heat.
Add the asparagus and onions.
Cook and stir about 5 minutes or until the vegetables are crisp-tender.
Add the water, margarine, thyme and lemon-pepper seasoning.
Stir until the margarine is melted and the vegetables are coated.
Transfer to a serving dish.
Sprinkle with the wheat germ.
