French Leg of Lamb Recipe

This French Leg of Lamb has always been my personal favorite, ever since I first had it at my graduation farewell. Here's a rather simple recipe for French Leg of Lamb for you to try and do let me know how it turns out for you!

Ingredients

 French dressing1 Cup (16 tbs)
 Onions2 Small, sliced
 Garlic2 Clove (5gm), slivered
 Ginger1 Teaspoon
 5-pound leg of lamb

Directions

Mix together French dressing, onions, garlic and ginger.
Pour over leg of lamb.
Chill 6 hours or overnight, turning occasionally.
Drain lamb, reserving marinade.
Place meat on a rack in a shallow roasting pan.
Insert meat thermometer into the center of the thickest part of the roast, making sure it does not rest in fat or on bone.
Bake in a moderate oven (350°F.) 2]/2 hours or until meat thermometer registers 175 to 180°F., depending upon desired degree of "doneness." Baste occasionally with marinade during cooking period.
Re- move to platter and garnish as desired..
