French Green Peas Recipe
Ingredients
| 5 or 6 outer lettuce leaves | ||
| Peas | 3 Pound | |
| Onions | 12 Small | |
| Parsley sprigs | 2 | |
| Butter | 1/2 Cup (16 tbs), softened | |
| Sugar | 2 1/2 Teaspoon | |
| Salt | 2 Teaspoon | |
Directions
Arrange lettuce leaves in heavy saucepan.
Combine peas with onions, parsley, butter, sugar and salt.
Spoon mixture onto lettuce; sprinkle with 3 table- spoons water.
Simmer, covered, for 15 minutes or until peas are tender; remove from heat.
Shred let- tuce; mix with peas.
