French Fried Shrimp Recipe
French fried shrimp is a delightful and easy snack recipe that can be served as a simple or cocktail apeetizer too. Flavored with curry powder, the fried shrimps are coated with four and salad oil mix and deep fried to a golden brown color and can be served with tartar sauce.
Ingredients
3/4 pound large raw shrimp in shells
1/2 cup sifted all-purpose flour
1/4 teaspoon sugar
1/4 teaspoon salt
Dash curry powder
1 egg white
1/2 cup water
1 tablespoon salad oil
Directions
Peel shells from shrims serving tails.
Slit along back; remove veins, flatten shimp.pat dry.
Combine dry ingredients; add egg white, water, and salad oil; beat well.
Dip shrimp in batter; fry in deep hot fat (375°) till golden brown, about 5 minutes.
Remove and drain on paper towels.
Serve immediately with cocktail or tartar sauce.
