French-fried Shrimp Recipe

Ingredients
1 1/2 pounds large shrimp, fresh or frozen
3/4 cup flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
3/4 cup milk
1 egg, beaten Salad oil
Directions
If using frozen shrimp, allow to thaw.
Peel shrimp, and cut almost through lengthwise.
Remove veins, wash and drain.
Make batter by sifting dry ingredients together; combine milk with beaten egg, and add liquid to dry ingredients, stirring until smooth.
Heat salad oil in skillet until very hot (375°F.
if using thermometer.) Use enough oil to cover shrimp completely.
Dip shrimp in batter and fry until golden brownâ€â€5â€â€7 minutes.
Drain on paper towels.
Serve plain or with Tartar Sauce.
